The kids love them- they are easy to use and durable. The bus is a little noisier than the truck. The problem is that they are set to the same frequency-27 mhz. The controller for the bus also controls the garbage truck when both are on. It has two buttons, forward and spin, that are labeled with arrows. I bought it for my daughter, who is not quite 3. She is able to control it easily and her older brother (5) has had some fun with it as well. My only complaint is that it is a little louder than it needs to be. It makes motor and horn sounds constantly, which is okay since the kids like it, but the one controlling the bus is always close enough to watch it and you can hear the sound effects three rooms away. My 2 1/2 year old loved it. His older cousins even loved it (age 4, 7 & 10). Only reason for 4 stars is the fact that it is advertised for 2+, but it comes w/ the 3+ small parts warning.
