Discovered not worth it

Discovery Kids Digital Photo/Video Camera
A Christmas gift for my 3 year old son from his aunt, at frist excited it was a camera he can carry around and not have to worry about dropping. The only plus about this camera is it is sturdy/strong if it is dropped. Pitcures are not very good quality (dark) even for a kids camera. Hard to see your what you are trying to take pitcure of. My sons just shoots away, if lucky and gets a pitcure (you can make out somewhat) telling yourself one for the scrap book, WRONG. The delete button is at thier little finger tip and VERY EASY to use. Delete button too easy for all pitcures to be deleted. Not worth the price. Best bet would be to buy a $5.00 disposable camera (where the pitcures can NOT be delete) and hope for the best.

Only One Flaw

This digital camera is worth every penny considering the idea of its use is self expression and exploration. The only, and I mean only drawback is that it should shut off automatically after a few minutes of non-use....... the batteries are gone asap if it is left on.... which is what kids do ! My 6 year old granddaughter has had a ball with this camera and has taken at least 400 pictures, and of course we downloaded some and ditched others. Just the auto shut off feature would have been worth a few extra bucks to really complete this camera considering it is for younger children.

Perfect for Toddler

This is a simple camera which should be treated more like an interactive toy. The idea a 4 year old is going to take a professional photo to upload online is simply ignorant. It is an easy to use tool that will introduce children to the world of photography. Durable, tough and simple - it is a perfect introductory toy for the small child.
